Sept. 7, 2021 - ANNOUNCEMENT in response to the upcoming vaccine passport requirements in Ontario.
As of September 22, 2021, Ontarians are required to be fully vaccinated (two doses plus 14 days) and provide their proof of vaccination along with photo ID to access public settings and facilities where masks cannot be worn. This extends to all indoor winery/cidery/brewery tastings.
Some of the locations visited by the Buzz Tour Company will continue to offer outdoor tastings whenever possible. In the case of inclement weather where guests need to move inside, the required proof of vaccination (that includes all relevant information to prove that they are fully vaccinated, along with another piece of photo ID - such as a driver’s license or health card) in order to taste/remove their mask indoors will be required.
It has been the goal of the Buzz Tour Company to provide safe and enjoyable experiences throughout the reopening of Ontario; including pre-tour health screening, a vehicle equipped with plexi-glass between driver and passengers, masks worn in the van, hand sanitizer provided in the vehicle and at all stops, and keeping all tastings and experiences outside (with the occasional exception when weather was not in our favour). As we move toward the cooler and more unpredictable weather, a number of stops we visit are already preparing their indoor facilities to accommodate visitors, and many will not be able to provide an outdoor experience.
To that end, guests of the Buzz Tour Company will need to be prepared to provide proof of vaccination + plus two weeks when tastings or experiences occur inside, or to enjoy lunch.
As the owner of this small business, I ask that you do your best to understand the requirements set out for us. I ask that every guest of the Buzz be respectful of our staff and the staff of the locations we visit while on tour. It is not our intention to exclude anyone from our experiences, but we must adhere to the requirements set out for us by the government of Ontario in order to operate.
If you are interested in booking a tour but cannot provide proof of vaccination, please contact us and we will do our best to accommodate you. If you have any questions please contact Christine directly through a direct message.
We appreciate your understanding at this time.
